Represent a dark and ominous tone to allude to the harms of smoking to discourage youth. The goal was to be more subtle in delivering the message. Using the colours associated with cigarettes will communicate the idea without having to show one explicitly - this allows people to be drawn in by the illustration, and hold their attention to read and understand it, instead of just skimming a title or seeing a cigarette and moving on.
