Showing the dark tones of Little Red Riding Hood, but in a beautiful way.
The story of the classic fairy tale is known to connect to mature themes; however, it is read to children as a fun bedtime story.
This illustration began as a school assignment: Depict a fairy tale as a silhouette using only black and white. I later revisited a sketch for this assignment, finishing it.
The silhouette created lots of contrast to separate elements, and focusing on using strong shapes instead of lines.
