Concept art for school assignment:
Design an interior based on a book.

This is the Slytherin Common Room from Harry Potter, reimagined. It's a grand room, with lots of ornamental detail, snake decor, and a dark and somewhat eerie tone.

Working in 3-point perspectives helps make the room feel larger, and makes the overall composition feel more dynamic.

As part of the work in progress for this assignment, I had to create a value study for this illustration before the colour version.
